The First International Workshop on Intelligent Finance was hosted by UB in Melbourne on 13-14 December 2004, at the Crown Promenade Hotel. This Workshop was a world first in establishing the new field of intelligent finance, which draws together the disciplines and cultures of financial mathematics, intelligent systems, and practical trading knowledge and expertise.
The event was highly successful with 70 participants from Australia, USA, Germany, France, Korea and Japan. The concept of intelligent finance was conceived by Dr Heping Pan, and plans are in place to continue the Workshop as a series biennially.
We would like to thank all keynote speakers, presenters and participants for attending IWIF1 in December 2004.
The Workshop was very successful and we look forward to planning IWIF2
